Early Draft Access

Alpha Reader Program

Alpha readers receive very early, rough drafts and are asked to provide structural feedback before the manuscript goes to the editor. This is a small, closed group of trusted readers.

What is alpha reading?

Limited—Invite Preferred

Alpha readers receive manuscripts at the earliest stage—sometimes before a second draft. The work may be rough, incomplete, or structurally experimental. Your role is to respond to the story as a reader, not as an editor.

Meg is looking for: Where did you lose interest? What confused you? Did the pacing work? Did you believe in the characters? You do not need to be a writer to be an alpha reader.

What this is not - Not a line-edit or proofreading role. Alpha reading is about story and structure, not grammar or prose polish. - Not a public review. Alpha manuscripts are strictly confidential. No sharing, no posting, no discussing publicly. - Not guaranteed ongoing access. Alpha reading is project-by-project. Each manuscript has a separate cohort.

Express Interest

This form collects expressions of interest. Meg personally selects alpha readers for each manuscript.
